I absolutely love this month because I am constantly decorating, and it makes me so darn happy! Normally, bloggers will give you a "Holiday House Tour," where they show pictures of their decorations for every room... literally their every nook and cranny... but because my kitchen is in the renovation-process, and with moving in a short time ago, I am definitely NOT prepared for you to be ALL up in my space! With that said, I will show you what I do have decorated for Christmas. =)
This year, I wanted my Christmas decorations to be simple, but my "simple" is probably not what the average person's "simple" is. Let's be real, my style of decorating is like a normal person's decorating on steroids but I can't help myself. I wanted a lot of green, silver, and rustic accents. Think: forest, pinecones. burlap, antlers, antique silver, etc. Okay, enough typing and on to the pictures!
Note** Below the pictures, I list where I bought some of the decor from, just in case you want to pick one up for yourself. =)
The soup tureen, and footed bowls are from Pottery Barn.
Salt & Pepper shakers are from Pottery Barn, and the large cloche is from Hobby Lobby. The stand I bought at a thrift store.
Now on to the main living area.
I made small wreaths out of juniper, and hung them from burlap ribbon on my old barn windows.
I found this pillow cover at H & M Home, and fell in love with it. I am a sap for anything that has Christmas carol quotes on it. I also bought the checkered pillow covers from H & M Home. The couch is from Pottery Barn.
The lamp is from TJ Maxx, and I love that I can decorate the inside with every season.
I used fresh greens and pinecones to make the "mantel" look wintery and festive.. I wove large burlap ribbon (from Hobby Lobby) amongst the branches to give the display a rustic look. The candle holders are from Restoration Hardware (I found at a thrift store), the rocking horse is from Marshalls, the "A" is from Ross, and the galvanized tray was found at a thrift store.
Isn't this little guy so cute?!
The chair and ottoman are from Ikea, and the pillow is from Pottery Barn.
I hung a couple pine swags on some old french doors and used them to flank my "entertainment center."
The galvanized milk jug is from a garage sale, and the Amaryllis is from Pottery Barn (that I got on clearance).
The cloche is from Hobby Lobby, the tuscan vase is from Pottery Barn, and the stacked baskets are from TJMaxx. If you can't tell, my Christmas tree is not finished yet, so that will have to be another post.
I hope you enjoyed looking at some of my decorations for this Christmas season! Thanks for stopping by!
