I would say the kitchen is about 75% done! Yay!! I still need cabinet hardware, and found 2 styles that I like but I haven't picked which one, so I'll keep you posted on that. Besides that, here are my last tasks: I need to repaint the ceiling, attack the large blank wall, and find some filler-decor pieces for the counter. But I wanted to show you the progress so far!
I am warning you- there are LOTS of pictures! =)
This will be a quick post, but I wanted to share a couple pictures of the progress I've made with the kitchen re-do . It feels that this project has taken forever, mainly because life seems to get in the way and I only finish 3-4 cabinet doors at a time.
I apologize that I have been quite MIA this past month, I blame it on my two week trip to California and the house project we recently started. We bought our home back in August and there's a long list of things that we want to get done. One of the first big projects I wanted to tackle was the kitchen. I have always dreamt of having a white kitchen and I am excited to finally start the process of creating one!
We used Rust-Oleum's cabinet paint in the color "Linen" for this transformation. For those who are unfamiliar with Rust-Oleum, they are a company that specializes in paint and finishes for furniture (including cabinets). Rust-Oleum's process does not involve sanding, but a de-glosser coat, multiple bond coats and top coats. I have read many, many wonderful reviews about Rust-Oleum's cabinet transformations and am excited (and a tad nervous) to see the end result.
