I apologize that I have been quite MIA this past month, I blame it on my two week trip to California and the house project we recently started. We bought our home back in August and there's a long list of things that we want to get done. One of the first big projects I wanted to tackle was the kitchen. I have always dreamt of having a white kitchen and I am excited to finally start the process of creating one!
We used Rust-Oleum's cabinet paint in the color "Linen" for this transformation. For those who are unfamiliar with Rust-Oleum, they are a company that specializes in paint and finishes for furniture (including cabinets). Rust-Oleum's process does not involve sanding, but a de-glosser coat, multiple bond coats and top coats. I have read many, many wonderful reviews about Rust-Oleum's cabinet transformations and am excited (and a tad nervous) to see the end result.

It’s finally November, yay! Now I can start uploading Christmas blog posts without looking like a total crazy person!
When I get back from my California trip in two weeks, I plan to decorate my house for Thanksgiving. This year, I want to stay away from the burnt orange and yellow you traditionally see during Thanksgiving, and go with something a little more whimsy. One of my goals would be to create a “look “ that will work for Thanksgiving and Christmas. What colors do you ask? Well, I plan to decorate with whites, greens, creams and browns. I might add a few pieces of orange here and there, but not the amount that I usually do.
This whimsy look will also go well with my Christmas tree design this year. I will share this soon!
Here are photos I found on the web to show you the look I'm going for. Check back for my finished product.
This blog follows my love for family, design & entertaining!
