I don't know why, but "nautical decor" has been on my mind ALL month! Maybe it's because I'm SO over winter, and yearning for something warmer? That might have something to do with it. A couple weekends ago, my husband and I took a drive to Cheyenne, Wyoming to hit some of my favorite stores (TJMaxx, Ross & Target) and while we were walking through Ross, I saw a set of 3 mirrors for $11 bucks! They were cute & round and reminded me of little portholes (See? Nautical....ugh...Spring I miss you!) Anyways, I had the idea of attaching rope to the top, making them look a little more decorative.
Hi All! So I posted a picture of our "new to us" dining table & chairs on my Instagram feed. If you don't follow me yet, here is my IG name: white_n_wood and get to findin' me! =) I wanted to show you what inspires me to re-do this bad boy into something that has more of my taste. The black and borderline orange stain aren't my colors, but I fell in love with these Windsor chairs and those big chunky table legs. I had to adopt them! This whole set up has "good bones,"and I am excited to see the final product.... when I finally get to it.
Below are some pictures of my "table crushes" right now. If you take a look, you'll get an idea what I am envisioning for this whole set!
This will be a quick post, but I wanted to share a couple pictures of the progress I've made with the kitchen re-do . It feels that this project has taken forever, mainly because life seems to get in the way and I only finish 3-4 cabinet doors at a time.
This blog follows my love for family, design, & entertaining!
